Onto the "real" desert we go. Over the mountain from Las Vegas towards the town of Beatty with Death Valley NP as our goal. Lots of open space out here. We can't even imagine living in this desert in August. Today it is clear and beautiful, but a little chilly. We checked out the town of Beatty where we found a very new RV park to set up camp for few days. Death Valley Inn & RV Park is very nice and works well for our adventures. The first place we drove to was the "Rhyolite Ghost Town" just a few miles from Beatty. We found a candy shop, believe it or not, in Beatty and are getting ready to watch the Lakers on DirecTV. We had no idea Death Valley was so beautiful in the fall season. Every place we visited was fantastic to view and take photos. Lots of photos! -Beatty on the Go-
