The weekend we visited Thousand Trails Rancho Oso in Northern Santa Barbara County seemed to be "animal weekend." I love viewing animals, of any type, in the their wide and natural state. This weekend was THE weekend to view deer (lots of deer) squirrels and birds. Fun stuff. We couldn't resist taking so many photos of the "local" deer. They wandered through the campground from the Santa Ynez River to their sleeping areas in the woods in the early mornings and early evenings. We were lucky to have them basically walk behind our campsite for a few days. Deer are soooo cute.
