-Rancho Oso on the Go-
Well here it is January in California, our rainy season. NOT! We had our rains early this year in November and December, so January has been dry for the "La Nina Season." Thus our mini-vacation to Thousand Trails Rancho Oso Preserve, along the Santa Ynez River above Santa Barbara, was fantastic. While our hometown of Moorpark was experiencing Santa Ana East Winds we were lucky to have no winds and temps of around 72 degrees and clear sky's! What a great week we had in the Santa Ynez Valley. We biked, hiked, wine tasted, shopped, took photographs of the scenery and wildlife and hooked up with Sharon and Gordy for a family lunch at famous Pea Soup Andersen's in Buellton. Our son Matt is schooling in Philadelphia and had snow and temps around 15 degrees, while we enjoyed our "winter season" in SouthernCal of 70 degrees. Boy, life is tough.
