-Goleta on the Go-

So what is in Goleta you ask? Well, the most fantastic section of California Coastline, that is what. Nancy and I vacated the house to take a day trip to Santa Barbara and Goleta. Our primary purpose was to visit the Elwood Butterfly Preserve. No butterflies yet, but the scenery was fantastic. What a beautiful California day. Only 70 degrees with lots of sun and a cool ocean breeze. We were so lucky that day. There were hardly any people on this large section of beach north of UCSB and the Santa Barbara Airport. We will definitely come back between November to February to view the Monarch Butterflies that rest in the trees while heading to Mexico for the winter. Also, we ventured to the Santa Barbara Harbor for lunch on the pier with a great view of the boats and mountains. You just can't beat Santa Barbara in the summer!
