Yes, Solvang is more than knickknacks and pastries. We ventured two hours up the coast to the quaint town of Solvang in the timeshare of Worldmark. It was a fantastic weekend. The beautiful two year old timeshare offered us a great view of the Santa Barbara County mountains from our second story room. What a great place. We rode our bikes in the Solvang Prelude 50 and 25 milers on Saturday and ate a fantastic dinner in downtown Solvang, just a short walk from the timeshare. On Sunday Mike biked to Lompoc, and we both ate hamburgers at the world famous Jalama Beach Grill, visited a few wineries in the late afternoon and watched the Lakers win.
