-Riverside National Cemetery-
Well, Carroll was honored at the Riverside National Cemetery by the family members. It was such a wonderful presentation by the color guard. They presented Carroll with a five gun salute, a taps trumpet solo and flag folding presentation. Many of the family members attended from South Carolina, Michigan, Colorado, Riverside County, Ventura County and San Diego County. It was a very emotional day for the family at this beautiful facility for Carroll to be laid to rest. Carroll's plaque location at Riverside National Cemetery is (Section BD, Row B, Site 324). I'm sorry for the loss of your dear Father. How great to have that color guard at the service. What a life your Dad must have lived. It seems that only now have we truly begun to appreciate the wartime stories that WWII survivors have told for decades. I hope you find comfort in the many memories.
