A day off from work, due to a school holiday, lead to a wonderful bike ride along the beach. I drove to Will Rogers State Beach in Pacific Palisades to park at the beginning of the South Bay Bike Trail. A cement/paved bike trail that follows the ocean for 22 miles ONE WAY! Wow, the weather started at 65 degrees and finished at 75 degrees with clear skys and a nice cool beach breeze. The ride is a slow paced effort through the cities of Los Angeles, Santa Monica, Venice, Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, Redondo Beach and Torrance. This is one of my favorite "weekday" rides in Los Angeles. NEVER ride it on a weekend, tooooo many people: walkers, bikers, inline skaters, surfers, dogs, swimmers, body builders and even homeless people.
