WOW, what a fantastic day of sun and color. We traveled north with our neighbors Dave & Gayle to visit the California State Poppy Preserve in Quartz Hill. We began the day with a fun drive up San Francisquito Canyon over the "hill" to a wonderful view of orange color everywhere. The preserve only got better as the day became older. The flowers opened up into full bloom which allowed for a "no bad picture day." If you ever plan to visit this small but fun place, do so in the springtime (mid March into early May). Have fun, but remember to take some warm clothes and lots of film.
